On the plateau of Amastuola, ancients Greeks started growing grapes over 3000 years ago. Now in the capable hands of Giuseppe Montanaro, he mixes historical traditions with innovation. He allows Mediterranean native varieties to grow in harmony with the terroir and in the total respect of the environment and the surrounding ecosystem.
A deep ruby red colour. On the nose, Interlaced red and black fruits in jam, cherries and berries, spicy cinnamon, tobacco, and black chocolate. A dry wine with roasted notes and tannins softened by oak ageing. Minerality and creaminess give this wine outstanding drinkability and a lengthy finish with lingering spices.
