Andre Bonhomme ‘Les Grappes d’Or’ 2018
from a “late harvest” of chardonnay. We have harvested the grapes 15 days after the classic harvest. So, the grapes were in the last step of ripeness before being affected by botrytis or noble rot. In fact they were golden & coppered.
The wine has fermented during 6 months in old barrels with natural yeasts. Then it has stayed 2 years in oak before bottling. It is a sweet wine with 30g of residual sugars but with a very good freshness. – Domaine André Bonhomme
