Arnaud Lambert Coteaux De Saumur Brézé Bonne Nouvelle 2015
2015 was the first vintage that Arnaud made sweet wines since the remarkable Or de Brézé in 2009 (last few bottles still available). This one comes from the lieu-dit of Bonne Nouvelle, located diametrically opposite Clos de l'Etoile in the hamlet of Grand Fond, just a couple of kilometres south-east of Brézé. Here the topsoil is a clayey-sandy silt over tuffeau limestone, producing wines of finesse and elegance. Produced from late harvested grapes with passerillage (natural dehydration) and not botrytis the wine carries a moderately sweet 90 g/L of residual sugar, balanced by lively acidity.
