On Monte Orfano, in Franciacorta, an ancient vineyard has been reborn thanks to the Bellavista winery, chosen by the friars to revive a unique and unrepeatable 5.45-hectare vineyard. These few hectares belong to the Convent of the Annunciation, which the friars themselves dedicated to wine production starting in the 1500s.

Curtefranca Bianco "Convento Santissima Annunciata" 2020 from the Bellavista winery is produced with only carefully selected Chardonnay grapes.

The SS. Annunciata vineyard enjoys a Mediterranean climate and is divided into two distinct sections, each with its own soil type, above and below a tree that separates them. These two parcels obviously require specific care, separate harvests, and different cellar procedures, resulting in a small cuvée.

The harvest is done exclusively by hand, keeping the grapes separated according to their provenance. This is done to allow them to be vinified separately, thus preserving the distinctive characteristics of each of the two parcels. After blending, the wine ages first in barrel for 12 months and then in bottle for at least another 2 years.

The Curtefranca Bianco "Convento Santissima Annunciata" Bellavista wine releases an inviting fruity bouquet enriched with hints of vanilla. The palate is fresh, balanced with mineral and savory notes. An elegant and precise white.
