Capcanes ‘Mas Donís’ Garnatxa Rosat 2023
Mas Donis Rosat is a rose wine produced by Celler de Capçanes in Montsant. The winery is located in the village of Capçanes, a small town in Priorat (Tarragona).
Mas Donis Rosado is made from Grenache (80%), Syrah (10%) and Merlot (10%). The grapes come from vineyards planted on clay soil and granite terraces. The Grenache grape variety, which is the predominant variety, comes from vines between 10 and 25 years old.
The harvest is done manually in the second half of September.
For processing, the grapes are not pressed, and the skins are bleeding. Each variety is fermented separately, at a controlled temperature (13-15ºC) for 10-12 days. Before bottling Mas Donis Rosado spends four months resting in tanks.
A fruity, very fresh and very long finishing wine. A different rose.
