The Clos des Quarts is located in Chaintre in the Burgundy region of Macconais. It covers an area of over two hectares and its oldest vines were planted in 1917. Protected by a high stone wall this plot is a monopole. Exposed to the East, with a slight slope and on a very stony clay-limestone and well-drained soil, this plot always offers high quality, beautiful fruits. To preserve this exceptional heritage the Domaine Merlin team applies a vigorous viticulture.
