Clarence House Chardonnay 2024
Clarence House was built in 1830 on land which was originally the market garden for the City of Hobart. The present owner, David Kilpatrick, first planted vines on the North-East slopes of Clarence Plains in 1998.
Entirely from a single block, three clones of Chardonnay (including the prized Penfolds clone) reside on an east-facing slope with views back towards the Clarence House homestead and Mt Rumney.
Wonderfully complex, with citrus and stonefruit tempered by oak, cereal and spice notes. Elegant and seamless, persistent and refreshing.
