Clarence House was built in 1830 on land which was originally the market garden for the City of Hobart. The present owner, David Kilpatrick, first planted vines on the North-East slopes of Clarence Plains in 1998.
This Clarence House Reserve Chardonnay has been blended from Chardonnay matured in selected French Oak. The wine was produced by Anna Pooley and Justin Bubb at Pooley Wines. It will accompany food or can be served as an aperitif. Expect a richer style of Chardonnay here with excellent oak balance, crisp acidity and all-round complexity. Such a lovely drink.
