Cordero Di Montezemolo "Enrico VI" Barolo DOCG 2021
The Cordero di Montezemolo family's vineyards are located in La Morra and Castiglione Falletto. The winery is based in the village of La Morra, which, together with the municipality of Barolo itself, is the most famous of the eleven municipalities in the Barolo wine region. On the top of Monfalletto hill, a powerful, imposing and venerable Lebanon cedar rises. The tree is part of the history and tradition of these lands. It was planted by the ancestors to commemorate their wedding in 1856. Giovanni Cordero di Montezemolo is only running the winery in the second generation of the family, whose roots go back to April 3, 1340. His father Paolo had inherited it in the early 1940s as the closest legitimate heir to the Faletti family. Giovanni also gets his enthusiasm for wine from him, so that he does not miss out on the personal care of his vineyards and vines. Giovanni prefers to work with Barolo, who must be original and unadulterated!
