The 50th parallel runs through the Rheingau, and precisely through Winkel. This is where the vines are grown from which this characterful wine is produced. And the slate shingle here is clearly the perfect place to produce semi-dry Riesling. Semi-dry or semi-dry Rieslings are rarer in the Rheingau than on the Mosel thanks to the warmer climate. Does Riesling have to be semi-dry? Sometimes you want to answer with a sonorous "yes". The interplay of acidity and fruit sweetness in the Terra 50 is so perfectly balanced that you only want to drink Riesling like that. Aromas of apples, herbs, peaches and various citrus fruits are underlined by the restrained fruit sweetness. This Riesling goes very well with spicy dishes from Indian, Vietnamese or Mexican cuisine!
