Cristom Mount Jefferson Pinot Noir 2017

Made with a blend of grapes from each of the estate vineyards, and top quality fruit traded or purchased from neighboring vineyards, the Mt. Jefferson Cuvee conveys a rich diversity of place, deserving of its repuation as one of the most expansive yet stylistically consistent Pinot Noirs.

Bright, red fruit aromatics, elegant, balanced tannins and persistent acidity. Impressions of pomegranate, strawberries, raspberries, cherries, cocoa powder and sweet pipe tobacco along with earthy and dusty notes that are complex and intriguing.

"Cristom releases six different pinots each year and this cuvee is a blend of fruit from its vineyards and others in the Willamette Valley. A beautifully crafted wine, it‘s reminiscent of good burgundy: bright and cool berry and cherry characters on the nose with a pleasing note of sap in the background. The palate is very even and elegant, finely shaped and of subtly complex and persistent flavours. It‘s very pretty and an easy wine to love."
