Dols Pinot Noir 2024
The Yarra is famous for its Pinot Noir. So, being a Yarra Valley winemaker and not making one would be quite rebellious. Unfortunately, our winemaker is rather passionate about the variety—so much so that he even did a stint in Burgundy, the world’s most famous Pinot Noir region. The result? A wine that’s fruity, fresh, and bright, with just enough savoury notes to keep things in balance. How cliché.
In the glass, it shows a vibrant crimson red. The nose is lifted with raspberry, red jubes, and violet. On the palate, red cherry and cranberry notes mingle with blackcurrant leaf, nutmeg, hints of toasty oak, and silky, drawn-out tannins.
It’s a versatile drop that pairs beautifully with mushroom risotto, Peking duck, spaghetti puttanesca, BBQ chicken, crispy skin salmon, or a wood-fired margarita pizza—honestly, just about anything.
