Chorey-Lès-Beaune is one of the lesser-known appellations in Burgundy, and is located just outside Beaune.
You get value for money from several producers – including Pavelot's wines. The field Les Beaumonts is the best terroir in Chorey-Lés-Beaune and is actually on the Savigny side.
The field is no less than 41 hectares and does not own land on the field itself, but buys the grapes from a regular supplier. Therefore, this becomes a so-called negociant wine.
Beautiful pure fruit with plenty of depth and intensity. Great balance with lovely, discreet acidity, which is however sufficient to cope with heavy dishes such as stews. Just remember to give it a few hours in the decanter.
