Domaine Pierre Usseglio Chateauneuf ‘Reserve Des 2 Freres’ 2020

95-97 Points, RobertParker.com, May 2022
"A wine that's somehow dessert-rich, yet savory and not overbearing, with a soft, almost pillowy impression on the palate." Robert Parker.com

96-98 Points, Jeb Dunnuck, Nov 2021
"The Grenache-dominated 2020 Châteauneuf Du Pape Réserve Des Deux Frères, which includes 15% Syrah, is another behemoth of a wine from this brilliant estate that readers will adore. Still again in used barrels, it has plenty of cassis, spicy oak, pepper, violets, and licorice notes to go with a full-bodied, ultra-pure, seamless style on the palate. It's certainly a bigger, richer wine compared to the Mon Aïeul, with some wood to integrate, yet it too is as seamless, pure, and layered as they come."

La Réserve des Deux Frères isa Châteauneuf-du-Pape at the top of its appellation. Made from 100% Grenachegrapes, this cuvée, bottled in small volumes, revealsenormous intensity and aromatic complexitywhile keeping enoughfreshnessto be enjoyed over time. Very ripe notes ofblack fruits(cherry, blackberry, blackcurrant) mingle with heady spices(pepper, liquorice, thyme, vanilla, cocoa etc.) as well asa touch of graphite and violetbringing a beautiful elegance in blocked. Avery great wine for aging and terroir that it is necessary to wait a few years in order to be appreciated at its peak.
