"The 2020 Châteauneuf Du Pape Cuvée De Mon Aïeul is all Grenache (from three terroirs) that was not destemmed and is still resting all in used demi-muids. Incredible aromatics of blackberries, ground pepper, toasted spice, raspberries, and flowers all emerge from this deep, full-bodied, yet wonderfully elegant barrel sample that makes the most of this great vintage. It's going to drink brilliantly for 15-20 years with no issues, and I'd certainly put this up with the top handful of wines in the vintage."
The Domaine Pierre Usseglio is now run by Pierre’s two sons Jean-Pierre and Thierry and together they have been creating exceptional wines. Half of the vines on the estates are more than 60 years old and the remaining half are around 30 years old. The Réserve Des Deux Frères and Cuvée de Mon Aieul Châteauneuf-du-Pape are produced from some of the oldest vines of the estates creating amazing wines.
