The legendary Singerriedel vineyard yield wines of extraordinary finesse. The south-facing site is among the best sites in the world for exquisite white wines, located on steep, wind-protected terraces in the east of Spitz and is considered one of the best Riesling sites in the entire Wachau. The location saves the warmth of the autumn sun until late in the evening. Lying on the old paragneiss a narrow layer of the finest weathered soil with siliceous brown earth. Paragneiss arise from transformation of sedimentary rocks, hence their manifestations and their mineralogical composition in the Wachau vineyards is very diverse.
