Flametree ‘Embers’ Pinot Grigio 2022
WINEMAKING NOTES
This wine is made from machine harvested fruit, harvested in the early hours of the morning, then tipped directly into the press and given a few hours skin contact. The skin contact provided flavour and tone needed for this style of wine. Free run juice was fermented in stainless steel and the pressings were fermented in old oak barrels. Some of the pressings went back into the final blend giving weight, complexity and added texture.
TASTING NOTES
The nose on the 2022 Pinot Grigio shows plenty of nashi pear, elderflower, granny smith apples, stone fruit and a hint of cheezie lees. It’s a delicious drop with or without food and is very much in the refreshing, aromatic white style.
