When tasted, the Chianti Classico red wine of Fontodi shows an intense ruby red color with purple reflections, very bright. The nose reveals small red fruits in jam, slight hints of violet and sweet notes of vanilla, combined with hints of tobacco and leather. The entry in the mouth is full and decisive, with tannins in evidence but of great quality, together with a freshness typical of the grape and here of great gustatory depth, which accompanies a long and pleasant persistence of balsamicity.
