Typically favouring warmer regions, Tempranillo is perfectly suited to the maritime, Mediterranean climate of McLaren Vale where it ripens early and retains great natural acidity. Our Tempranillo is a medium-bodied wine which showcases juicy plums and blueberries, framed by herbs, subtle oak and soft plush tannins. Its savoury edge and smooth tannin profile match well with a wide range of foods and is especially enjoyed when paired with savoury dishes such as antipasto and tapas. With judicious oak use and minimal handling, this wine has been created in a style that exhibits the variety’s freshness and vibrancy on release but will develop complexity in bottle with careful cellaring.
