Chenin des Rouilleres from Frederic Mabileau is a beautiful expression of Chenin Blanc from sandy-gravel vineyards on the eastern side of Anjou. The wine is pretty on the nose with floral notes, acacia and green fruit notes of lime and pear. It is fuller and rich on the palate with intense green fruit and waxy, honeyed notes coming through.
