The FX Pichler vineyard is located on the eastern end of Wachau, between Loibenberg and Pfaffenberg. Small valley section composed of deeply deposited, weathered gneiss. Lucas says it’s all about raciness and finesse. Cool nose is reminiscent of alpine air, with orchard and citrus fruits. Has tension from the word “go”, then opens beautifully on the palate. Long, subtly building, exquisite line to this. White peach and lemon, with a seaspray tang on the finish. Pure and lively.
