Light, bruised ruby in the glass with aromas of red cherries, dried cranberries and raspberries. Hints of barbecued Chinese meats, exotic spice, ginger cake, purple flowers, red licorice and earth. Some nice morello cherry flows on the palate with abundant spice, a briny mineral cadence and fine, toothsome tannins as the wine fades away, savoury and edged with sour cherry. Dave Brookes.
