An outstanding Abercrombie that saw 20 months in French oak barriques of which 40% were new. Opaque dark crimson red colour with deep dark red hue. Perfumed aromas of cedar, blackcurrant, mulberry and tobacco are followed by a hint of spice and earth as end notes displaying strong varietal character and excellent lift. Medium to full bodied the palate displays concentrated flavours of ripe blackcurrant, cedar and mulberry followed by some spice and a touch of earth on the back palate all beautifully integrated. Outstanding depth. Super fine grained tannin structure with long aftertaste of cedar, blackcurrant, mulberry and spice.
