
Howard Vineyard Sangiovese
Cherry, strawberry and perfumed musk, Chinese 5 spice and savoury herbs. A delicious combination of fruit and savoury characters. Dark cherry, fresh cut rhubarb, earthiness finish with delightfully soft tannins.
Winemaking: Harvested across 2 nights for two types of Sangiovese clones the grapes were kept seperate and fermented in 5t open top stainless steel fermenters. The grapes were cold soaked, hand plunged over 9 days and pressed into seasoned French. The wine remained in 500L barrels for 4 months then bottled with minimal SO2. This wine is meant to be enjoyed early and even from the fridge.
