Displaying a light straw colour; this barrel fermented chardonnay shows roasted hazelnuts, warm cashews, buttered toast, jasmine and magnolia, and lemon rind aromas. Initial zingy lemon and grapefruit characters on the palate, with lively green apple, mandarin, white summer flowers and pea shoots, honeycomb, white rind cheese, white pepper spice, and saline and granitic minerality. Whole mouth filling and persistent, it has linear acidity, lanolin texture, and French oak tannins.
