"Quality fruit from a top region and a great vintage. As they say in the classics, what is not to like. An opaque maroon colour here, the nose is redolent with coffee bean notes, chocolate, dried herbs, tobacco leaves and leather. There is some oak evident here, with cloves emerging. Beautifully concentrated with a fine line of acidity. A well balanced wine with silky tannins, there is excellent length. Enjoy this over the next ten years."

The 2022 Estate Shiraz is hand crafted from grapes grown on Setttler's Block, 12, 10, 9 and 2 of the Lloyd Brothers McLaren Vale Estate. Each parcel was selectively picked and fermented in small open fermenters, then basket pressed to new and seasoned French oak. After 14 months the best barrels were selected to create the Estate Shiraz. This wine shows lovely rich, ripe, dark berry fruit on the palate with overtones of mocha, spice, black pepper and liquorice. Approachable in its youth this wine will happily age for 10+ years.
