Claude Muzard and Hervé Muzard have been the winemakers at Domaine Lucien Muzard & Fils since 1990. Claude Muzard is involved in cellar and commerce, while Hervé Muzard takes care of vineyards.

According to some papers on grape purchasing matters, the Muzards have been winegrowers in Santenay since 1645.

The estate was founded in the 1960s by Lucien Muzard. His eldest son, Claude Muzard, joined him in 1987, with Hervé Muzard three years later. Although their deep family knowledge of winemaking, they studied at Lycée Viticole de Beaune (Beaune School of Viticulture).

Claude Muzard and Hervé Muzard stopped selling wine in bulk and started bottling all the wines made at the domaine. Today 80 percent of wines are red, and 20 percent are white.

Today, the next generation of the Muzards, Capucine, Pierre and Constance, are becoming involved.
