The Masi Amarone della Valpolicella Campolongo di Torbe DOCG 2012 is a single-vineyard (“cru”) Amarone from Veneto, Italy, considered one of Masi’s most prestigious expressions. It is made from the traditional Valpolicella grapes—mainly Corvina, Rondinella, and Molinara—using the appassimento method, where grapes are partially dried for several months before fermentation to concentrate sugars, flavor, and structure.

The 2012 vintage is known for being rich, powerful, and deeply structured, with aromas of dried cherry, blackberry, plum, baked fruit, and subtle spice, layered with earthy and savory notes like tobacco, leather, and dried herbs. On the palate it is full-bodied and velvety, showing concentrated dark fruit, cocoa, and spice, supported by firm yet finely polished tannins and well-integrated alcohol, leading to a long, intense, and dry finish with impressive depth and aging potential.
