Meo-Camuzet Bourgogne Haut Cotes Nuits Philibert F&S 2016
Bourgogne Hautes Cotes de Nuits is an appellation situated on the high slopes of the northern Cote d’Or. While the appellation produces predominantly Pinot Noir, rose wine accounts for a fraction of the total production and Chardonnay makes up 25 percent. The 700 hectares of vineyards in the Hautes Cotes de Nuits are planted on southern and western facing slopes in marl soils with small pockets of limestone rich soils. The Clos Saint-Philbert vineyard is situated approximately 300 yards from Echezeaux at an altitude of 1,200 feet. The Chardonnay vines were planted in the beginning of the 90s and produce lower yields of ripe grapes high in acid.
