Moric Hausmarke ‘Solera’ Rot
The house brand red is a cuvée of Blaufränkisch, Zweigelt and Pinot Noir, which is aged in large used wooden barrels. The Zweigelt brings fruit and charm, the Pinot Noir juiciness and the Blaufränkisch character and structure. From now on, blended from several vintages using the Solera process. Rich fruit on the nose with ripe black cherry and plum, some eucalyptus and a slight smokiness, fine spice of gingerbread. A balanced, dense texture on the palate, it starts fresh and stimulating, then some cinnamon bark, the finely chiseled tannin settles well on the tongue, slightly earthy - rustic - good. [GB 10/2023]
