Vines planted in 1906, and in the 1930s. Heavy clay situated on plateau, with lots of iron in the soil. This is up on the plateau, almost flat but facing slightly south, and has the highest clay content. Spontaneously fermented in an open wooden vat with 10 to 15 whole clusters. Then matured in old 500 liter barrels for two years. Very old vines, planted between 1908 and the 1930s, stand in this single vineyard. Strong clayey soil. Intense, dark fruity nose with a clear hint of graphite. – Moric
