Mountadam has some of the most enviable resources available for Chardonnay with many varietal clones, aged vineyards and geographical aspects. In blending this wine, a balance of the fruit aromas and flavor is sought, capturing the exquisite characteristics of the Chardonnay grape without the influence of oak. Intense lively fruit aromas carry through on the palate, which displays ripe apple, pear and peach characters with a distinct fresh acidity, typical of cool climate Chardonnay. Typical of Mountadam Chardonnay, there are flavours of grilled nuts with clove and nutmeg spice woven around a green apple and citrus core. There is tremendous depth of flavour which lingers elegantly on the palate.
