Olivier Leflaive Olivier Leflaive Saint Aubin 1er Cru En Remilly 2022

“En Remilly” is located right behind Le Montrachet – mid-slope, facing east, protected from spring frosts on a thin and rocky soil – an outstanding positioning. This location beside the most famous Chardonnay vineyard of all is what gives Saint-Aubin wines their reputation for incredible value. Legend has it that “Remilly” comes from a former Roman proprietor named Romilius.

After being hand-harvested, the grapes are immediately pressed. The wine ages 12 months in oak (20% new oak).

Notes of ripe lemon, almond, cinnamon and spices are balanced by lively acidity, with a touch of cream on the nose. The wine exhibits a powerful and generous texture, as well as a unique minerality. It is a delicate and charming wine that will further evolve on its richness and exuberance with additional age. Enjoy as an aperitif, with oysters or with trout. It is best enjoyed from now until 2027.
