The Savoie is famed for its distinctive, textured whites, but Paul Gadenne's Mondeuse perfectly exemplifies why we should also be drinking reds from this region too. Despite being light on alcohol (at just 10.5% abv), this wine is anything but light on flavour.

It packs a serious punch, with vibrant notes of blackberry, cranberry and cherry fruit, alongside a spicy, earthy finish that adds so many layers of complexity. This Mondeuse is a seriously expressive and approachable red. Certainly, a great wine to crack open and enjoy with gamey meat stews or earthy, mushroom risotto.
