Place in Time wines are outstanding single vineyard wines produced only from great vintages. The fruit was sourced from a vineyard in Greenock in the North Western corner of the Barossa Valley. The 2012 growing season produced balanced vines with small concentrated berries. The wine was naturally fermented by wild yeast in small open fermenters before it was basket pressed into a mix of new and older French and American oak barriques for maturation. At blending the two best barrels were selected to make this Place in Time Shiraz. These wines are released with significant bottle age, at a wonderful point to be enjoyed. Minimalist winemaking was used capturing the fruit from the vineyard and its unique micro climate. These wines have considerable time ahead of themselves and will continue to age gracefully for many years to come.
