From north-west Spain, Puerto del Monte translates to “mountain pass” and is named after the peaks of Las Médulas in Bierzo that glow copper-red in the evening sun. The nose explodes with intense of aromas of black fruit, tar and pencil lead, whilst on the palate you really get a feel for the glorious old vines from which this beautiful wine is made.
