Punch Cabernet Sauvignon “Lance’s Vineyard” 2018

Punch has been run by winemaking duo James and Claire Lance since they took over the family run business in 2005. Lance’s Vineyard is the original site in the Yarra Valley. It has soil riddled with stones and it is perfectly positioned to capture an abundance of sun. Their wines are made with minimal intervention, natural yeasts and gravity settling of lees. All their wines are aged on the bottle for a considerable amount of time before released. This allows them to develop close to their peak before opened and subsequently enjoyed.

The 2015 Punch Lance’s Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon is a stellar example of the varietal. Cassis and bay leaf dominate the flavour profile with lifted aromatics and well integrated oak. The tannins are fine and supple with a long finish.

The Punch Lance’s Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon is a perfect match to hard aged cheeses such as Pyengana cheddar or l’Amouse aged Gouda.
