Colour
At release, the wine a youthful deep red colour with a dark purple hue to the edges.

Nose
There are rich fruit-of-the-forest berry aromas along with black plum and cinnamon and nutmeg spice.

Palate
This is a rich and luxurious wine with concentrated flavours of black plum, blackberry along with chocolate, mocha and subtle spice. The palate is refined and elegant with the oak maturation bringing depth and length to the palate. The wine is very well balanced with a fine line of tannin, well integrated oak and the finish is persistent and imminently enjoyable.

Oak Maturation
The wine was matured in fine grained French oak barrels for between 14 and 20 months prior to blending and bottling.

Cellaring Notes
Crafted for immediate enjoyment but will cellar over a medium term under ideal conditions.
