The 25 words or less version: The first Tonic Grenache solely from McLaren Vale. That said, it's got all the hallmarks of a Tonic Grenache — Cherry-red, amaro-like sweetness, and fine but firm tannic flow-through. Ding-ding. Tannin is certainly at the forefront of this wine, though kept completely in check with fragrant red fruits, cherries soaked in liqueur and an aromatic dried spice lift. There's an almost hazelnut savoury element to the wine and a fine but firm tannic flow-through. It's bright and crunchy throughout and very long in flavour. Good stuff.
