Salice Salentino is a wine, a controlled designation of origin named after the municipality of Salice Salentino in the province of Lecce. It is a designation reserved for wines obtained from the vinification of grapes from vineyards comprising at least 75% of the Negroamaro variety. Grapes from other black grape varieties suitable for cultivation in Puglia for the homogeneous production zone "Salento- Arco Ionico" entered in the National Register of Vine Varieties for Wine Grapes may also be used to produce these wines, either alone or in combination. Doc Salice Salentino is prelalently composed of Negroamaro and Malvasia Nera. A red wine of great elegance, harmony and balance.
