Vedrenne Verveine du Velay Verte (Green) 55% 700ml
Founded in 1859 by an herbalist, the Verveine du Velay liqueur is emblematic of herbal liqueurs, thanks to a recipe passed down from generation to generation. This precious elixir is the harmonious union of local verbena, harvested from the distillery's own fields, and a meticulous selection of plants, spices, and aromatic herbs. Lemongrass verbena, planted under the June sun and harvested before the first chills of winter, is dried and then delicately hand-stripped, thus preserving the integrity of its aromas. The Verveine du Velay herbal liqueur is the fruit of over 18 months of work with 3 main steps: Maceration: An essential process where the aromas are released and infused in the alcohol, capturing the very essence of nature. Distillation: Once practiced by apothecaries, this step is accomplished in our red copper stills, where the vapor carries away the benefits and the most subtle flavors of the plant. Aging: Our liqueur then rests in oak barrels, where, over the months, it acquires complexity and roundness that are only revealed over time.
