Darroze 1996 Rieston GBA 49.5% 700ml
Armagnac Darroze Domaine de Rieston 1996 is a jewel in the unique 1996 collection from Domaine Domaine de Rieston in Perquie. This exceptional spirit is produced by Jean-Luc Deyres, in the Bas-Armagnac appellation. Domaine covers 2.5 hectares of tawny sand soils, an ideal terroir for the 100% Baco grape variety.
Continuous distillation to 53% alcohol is carried out by the producer himself, guaranteeing impeccable quality. The armagnac is then aged in local oak barrels, ensuring optimal maturation.
This armagnac is distinguished by its beautiful golden color with brown highlights. The nose is complex, revealing aromas of dried figs, plum jam and ripe quince, accompanied by spices such as clove, licorice and gingerbread, as well as hints of caramel, butter and walnut. On the palate, the balance is remarkable, with fresher aromas of apricot Secs, melon jam and chocolate mint. The tannins are round, and the finish is very long and persistent.
