The wine that put Eden Road on “the map” winning the 2009 Jimmy Watson Trophy. 55% of the grapes are from Tumblong Estate vineyard located in the Gundagai region and 45% from our Cullarin vineyard located at Lake George.

Tasting Notes

Dark red colour with purple hues. Subtle dark cherry black olive blackberry and black pepper aromas and flavours. The palate is complex with a savoury and long finish. The tannins are velvety.

Winemaking Notes

All the grapes were de-stemmed and fermented as whole berries. The grapes were pumped over twice a day during fermentation and lightly pressed at the end of fermentation directly to 1-3 year old French puncheons and aged for a period of 8 months. Barrels were racked and the wine filtered before bottle. No fining.
