The grapes are sourced from the Maragle and Courabyra vineyards located in the Tumbarumba region ranging from 430m ASL to 805m ASL. All grown on decomposed volcanic soils with basalt.

Tasting Notes

Medium red colour with red hues. Subtle cherry and plum aromas and flavours lead on to a bright crunchy medium bodied structure with lovely silky tannins and length.

Winemaking Notes

25% whole bunches are included with the balance de-stemmed for fermentation over the bunches. The alcoholic fermentation was carried in open fermenters. Following fermentation the grapes were lightly pressed directly to 20% new French oak barriques and puncheons.

The wine was matured for 8 months in French oak racked and gently filtered to bottle. No fining.
