Based in Meursault since 1865, Domaine Jacques Prieur can boast of being the only one to have a unique collection of plots in the five large and prestigious appellations that make up the Côte d'Or: Chambertin, Musigny, Clos Vougeot, Corton Charlemagne and Montrachet. With its 9 Grands Crus and 14 Premiers Crus spread across the Côte de Nuits to the north and the Côte de Beaune further south, Domaine Jacques Prieur, founded by Jacques Prieur, has been run since 1988 by the Labruyère family, but always with alongside the Prieur family. These 2 families strive to vinify and develop with high standards, in the purest Burgundian style, Chardonnay and Pinot Noir of great breed, each expressing a strong personality borrowed from each climate which makes up its large mosaic of plots in the Côte d' Gold.COLOR: Red-black with intense purple reflections.
NOSE: Complex, surprisingly fragrant, a real basket of small wild fruits (blueberry, blackcurrant, blackberry, etc.), evolving with aeration to notes of licorice, cocoa and black pepper.
TASTE: Refined with noble and fresh fruitiness, enhanced by sweet spices. Dense finish with silky, satiny and fleshy tannins. Long persistence.
