Here is the third chapter of our French Whiskies editions: The Unexpected 3. Like the second, it has been distilled in the French Alps from Vanessa organic barley. The new make spirit was very concentrated and full of flavors. The whisky has been matured in different Sherry casks (Amontillado, Oloroso, Fino, and PX), mostly in a humid cellar, and bottled at natural strength of 50% alc./vol. The blend is subtle and elegant, with a strong aromatic concentration and a bright, lingering aftertaste. No peat, no smoke, with expressive cereal flavors. Blended in February 2023, 2,500 bottles and 45 magnums were obtained.
